The Madison Square Garden Company announced this week that it has named Dan Fleeter as its head of esports, as well as the chief operating officer of its Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) organization.
Fleeter will oversee all business efforts for CLG and work alongside its existing leadership team. He will focus on new business initiatives, cultivating partnerships and fan engagement opportunities, building relationships with league partners, and helping to develop events to be held at Madison Square Garden-owned venues.
Prior to the appointment, Fleeter served as vice president of corporate development for The Madison Square Garden Company, and was also a member of the CLG board of directors. He assisted with the company’s 2017 acquisition of CLG, as well as development of the Knicks Gaming brand for the NBA 2K League.

“Dan’s vision and passion for esports is an instrumental asset to CLG and our partners,” said Kristin Bernert, MSG Sports senior vice president of business operations, in a release. “CLG is in the midst of one of the most exciting times in the organization, between the opening of our Performance Center [and] the success of all our teams, and with Dan taking on this role, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for CLG.”
Prior to joining MSG, Fleeter was an engagement manager for consulting firm McKinsey & Company, and also worked for Major League Baseball and Deloitte Consulting.
