Complexity Gaming Partners with Mamba Sports Academy, HyperX for Mind Gym

Complexity Gaming has unveiled a Mind Gym at its new GameStop Performance Center headquarters, which offers mental training and recovery activities.

The facility was built in partnership with Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Sports Academy, and also features HyperX headsets.

The GameStop Performance Center also features a Miller Lite Player Lounge via a sponsorship deal with MillerCoors.

In advance of the grand opening of its new GameStop Performance Center headquarters, Complexity Gaming

has announced a partnership with Mamba Sports Academy and headset and peripheral maker HyperX

to establish a Mind Gym within the facility.

The Mind Gym, designed in collaboration with Mamba Sports Academy—which is partnered with and named after former NBA star, Kobe Bryant—will have six different mental training stations built for both team and individual sessions. According to a release, the activities seek to increase players’ performance with improved cognitive speed, focus, and accuracy under stress.

Complexity Gaming will work with a cognitive scientist to evaluate the results and assist players in further training. Players will also use the HyperX Cloud Alpha headsets for activities in which varying audio loads can impact the challenge of the experience. Additionally, the Mind Gym will offer rubber flooring for yoga and other recovery activities.

“In esports, every millisecond counts, so it’s important for teams to provide cognitive training,” said Mamba Sports Venture Lab CEO Jason Sada, in a release. “Our training has been validated by the world’s most elite athletes across Formula 1, MLB, NFL, and NBA, and esports is a perfect application for our programs. Now, this proprietary training software and equipment will be used with Complexity athletes to boost their performance.”

The GameStop Performance Center is located at the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters at The Star in Frisco, Texas. GameStop signed a three-year naming rights deal for the facility, which will also include a Miller Lite Player Lounge via a sponsorship deal announced with MillerCoors this week.

Complexity Gaming recently unveiled a significant rebranding, which closely aligns the organization with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, its sister team.
