Complexity Adds World of Warcraft Raiding Guild Limit to its Portfolio of Esports Teams

  • Complexity Gaming has signed competitive World of Warcraft guild Limit to its brand.
  • Prior to this deal, Limit streamed its attempts at winning the “Race to World First” for the first time in partnership with Red Bull.
  • The deal will emphasize pushing Limit’s contributions to RWF events moving forward.

Complexity Gaming is expanding its share of the esports market by signing competitive North American World of Warcraft raiding guild Limit

As a part of the deal, Limit will be put under the Complexity umbrella of teams and be rebranded “Complexity Limit.” The freshly rebranded group will work to create more opportunities surrounding the grassroots “Race to World First” events that guilds like Limit and Method partake in when Blizzard Entertainment releases new player-vs-environment (PVE) raid content.

This is Complexy’s first partnership in WoW, and at the same time, it marks the biggest step that any WoW guild has taken in attempting to match the organizational status of Method, the biggest predominantly WoW-focused esports team organization.

Limit joins a roster of Complexity teams that compete in games including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA, Rocket League, Fortnite, Madden, Apex Legends, Hearthstone, Clash Royale, and MTG: Arena.

In July, Limit teamed up with Red Bull as it streamed its attempts at the RWF for the first time, something that Method found a market for in the fall of 2018. Though the guild didn’t beat Method, it was still the first North American group to complete the raid, recording a notable audience as well on both the Red Bull channel as well as personal streams for individuals in the guild.

With a new WoW raid currently in public testing, this deal represents Complexity’s commitment to monetizing the upcoming RWF that could see its release date announced this weekend at Blizzard’s yearly convention BlizzCon.
