Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles has been named Commissioner of Flashpoint and Vice President of Brand for its parent company B Site.
MonteCristo previously held a full-time content position at North American organisation Cloud9, one of Flashpoint’s founding teams.

In his new role as VP of Brand, MonteCristo will take the reins on all of B Site’s initiatives from a brand perspective, including Flashpoint, its content platform, and future events. Not only that, he’ll be personally responsible for developing new tournaments for B Site as it aims to expand into titles in addition to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
As Commissioner of Flashpoint, MonteCristo will serve as the “official link between [the league] and the fans.” He will be on the league’s Board of Governors alongside Envy Gaming CEO Mike Rufail, IGC SVP of Finance and Business Development Tomi Kovanen, Dignitas player Adam “friberg” Friberg, and MIBR player Epitácio “TACO” de Melo.
He spoke on his new roles in a release: “I am extremely excited to continue constructing the live tournament and content plans for both Flashpoint and B Site. We aim to serve enthusiastic, adult fans with content brought to them by the most creative, fun, and expert voices from their favorite games. We are committed to not only providing top-tier tournament experiences, but also to roll out year-round studio shows for all major esports.”

B Site has acquired Insight on Esports, a content initiative ran by MonteCristo. The channel hosts Summoning Insight, a podcast he co-hosts alongside Duncan “Thorin” Shields that focuses on League of Legends. More shows are being developed for the channel, according to a release.
Ari Segal, CEO of Immortals Gaming Club and Founding Member of B Site, commented: “Monte is a unique voice in esports and the perfect connection point between the business of Flashpoint and the community of supporters we aim to build around it. There is no one better suited to collaborate with players, talent, and the community and ultimately deliver the very best, most forward leaning esports content, consistent with the mission and voice of Flashpoint and future B Site products.”
Esports Insider says: MonteCristo is one of the leading voices in esports and, ever since departing Overwatch League, he’s proven to be a sought-after figure. Given his two new roles within B Site, he’ll now be an even-more-integral part of the team-owned initiative and its future successes. What’ll be interesting is the expansion of B Site into titles other than CS:GO, considering that’s definitely the company’s bread and butter and some titles are completely developer-ran (and thus most inaccessible).
