Call of Duty League has revealed the full schedule for its inaugural season, comprising of team-hosted home series events.

For the first time, Call of Duty esports is adopting a home & away format, with teams travelling to the locations of their opponents throughout. With the adoption of city-based franchising, teams will host their home series events in their territory. Two dates that are yet to be announced are the Midseason Weekend and Championship Weekend, acting as flagship events in the schedule.

It’s expected, however, that the Championship Weekend – which will house what’s effectively the world championship – will commence on August 9th. Besides the opening weekend, no events have announced venues at the time of writing.

On November 2nd, all 12 franchises had been confirmed. The founding 12 teams of the Call of Duty League are as follows: Atlanta FaZe, Chicago Huntsmen, Dallas Empire, Florida Mutineers, London Royal Ravens, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Minnesota RøKKR, New York Subliners, OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, Paris Legion, Seattle Surge, and Toronto Ultra.

Esports Insider has spoken with those behind Atlanta FaZe, Minnesota RøKKR, and Toronto Ultra about branding, venues, and the upcoming season.

Esports Insider says: The Call of Duty League schedule looks to have plenty going on while managing to give teams breaks from travelling so often. For both London and Paris teams, it’s looking like a lot of travelling stateside. For fans of Call of Duty esports, it’s looking like a rather long off-season.
