Activision Blizzard has officially announced the Call of Duty League and its branding.
The developer has also released details for the inaugural season of the franchised league.

The Call of Duty League will be played exclusively on PlayStation 4 and will boast a total prize pool of over $6 million (£4.9 million) in its first year. The season will culminate in the Call of Duty League Championship, crowning the ultimate winner of the season.
No branding for the 12 franchises have been officially confirmed at the time of writing, but the ownership groups and cities have all been unveiled. What’s currently known about the franchises is as follows:

Details on the league’s official website confirm that the city-based league will indeed see the franchises travel from city to city to compete against each other. It also confirms that the league will take place on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from 2020, but no date of commencement has been announced at the time of writing.
Esports Insider says: It’s been an incredibly-poor secret that the league was to be called Call of Duty League but it’s nice to finally get some details on the competition considering we’re almost in 2020. Now that details such as the Championship and prize pool have been released, we’re anticipating franchises to start unveiling their branding any day now.
