Streaming platform Caffeine announced an exclusive streaming partnership with American rapper and songwriter, Kiari Kendrell “Offset” Cephus.
The partnership includes two shows that will air on Cephus’ Caffeine channel. The first, unnamed weekly segment that premieres Oct. 27, will feature Cephus as he streams his favorite video games and tries new titles as suggested by fans in the chat.
A second show called Bet with Set will focus on Cephus and celebrity guests as they compete in high stakes challenges. The premiere date and frequency of Bet with Set were not revealed.
“With Caffeine, I can create my content in an organic way that lets me make real connections with my community,” said Cephus in a statement, adding that the platform lets him be himself. “They have created new technology that takes the lag out of online interactions and it makes me reachable in a way that other platforms simply can’t.”
Cephus is an avid gamer and in August became an investor in FaZe Clan. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Caffeine is an esports and entertainment streaming platform with a focus on social engagement. The company was co-founded by former Apple designers Ben Keighran and Sam Roberts, who raised $46M USD across two funding rounds in 2016. Since then, Caffeine has received a $100M investment from 21st Century Fox and established streaming partnerships with the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), ESL, FACEIT, DreamHack, Dignitas, Natus Vincere, FOX Sports, CORSAIR, and others.
