This year, the entire tournament will take place in Anaheim, California, the week of BlizzCon (Oct. 28). The top 10 highest-ranked teams based on performance in past world cups will have their travel and accommodations covered by Blizzard, while all other eligible countries wishing to participate will “be fully responsible for their travel and will receive some support for hotels,” according to the announcement.

Last year, the Group Stage of the competition was held across four host countries: France, South Korea, Thailand, and the United States. Only the final stage was held at BlizzCon.
