Astralis Group has signed a three-year deal with Nordic mobile-based banking app Lunar, focused on its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team, Astralis. The partnership includes a branded VISA payment card, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
In a statement, Jakob Lund Kristensen, CCO and co-founder of Astralis Group, cited esports’ global audience and primary audience of digital natives, which he linked to Lunar’s use of gamification in its banking technology.
Astralis is an all-Danish CS:GO team, and users in the country can currently join the waitlist for Lunar, with the full app to launch later in 2020. Other Astralis partners currently include Unibet, Turtle Beach, Jack & Jones, and Omen by HP.
