Anybrain was founded in 2015 by PhDs and engineers specialising in artificial intelligence and big data processing from the University of Minho, Braga. The company is the owner of patented technology based on the analysis of behavioural data proceeded from human-computer interactions. That data is used to form solutions for game studios, allowing “seamless player identification, fraud prevention, age control and fatigue tracking,” with particular focus on compatibility with the game development platforms Unreal Engine, Unity, Source, and CryEngine.

André Pimenta, CEO and Co-founder of Anybrain, spoke on the investment in a release: “After more than 4 years of research and development, we are very proud and excited to open our technology to the global gaming and Esports industry.”

The investment was made by Trust Esport, a venture capital fund dedicated to supporting European esports startup. Anybrain marks the fund’s fifth investment in less than a year.

Matthieu Dallon, Founding Partner of Trust Esport, also commented on the investment: “Several pain points still limit Esports when it comes to online competitions, especially in terms of security and fairness. The solutions provided by the highly qualified team of Anybrain will quickly become standards and will contribute to the future CSR policies of the major companies of the gaming industry.”

Esports Insider says: The Trust Esport fund has been extremely active in the past few months. Its substantial investment into Anybrain is an affirmation of the startup’s work and we look forward to tracking its potential applications in the future.
