N3rd Street Gamers has brought in Kellogg’s as a sponsor of the amateur events that comprises its National Championship Series.
The series will stop at Walmart stores in Dallas, Spokane, Colorado Springs, Kansas City, and Nashville as part of the Cheez-It Grooves tour.
John Fazio, Founder and CEO of N3rd Street Gamers discussed the sponsorship in an announcement: “Partnering with a globally recognized brand like Kellogg’s is humbling and validates our model of providing national scale, grassroots esports marketing capabilities. This type of brand partnership will be essential in helping us grow the market by reaching more people and convincing more gamers to compete in esports competitions like the National Championship Series.”
The National Championship Series is an initiative by N3rd Street Gamers that aims to bridge the gap between amateur and professional play. Earlier this year, N3rd Street Gamers partnered with Esports Stadium Arlington to combine their two flagship amateur competitions.
Michael Clark, Director, Shopper Marketing at Kellogg’s also commented: “Kellogg’s is thrilled to partner with N3rd Street Gamers and the National Championship Series to bring 25 Academy Tier events to Walmart stores across the United States.”
Kellogg’s will also sponsor an upcoming Overwatch tournament from N3rd Street Gamers, through its Cheez-It Grooves brand once again, starting October 4th with a $15,000 prize pool (£12,376.43).
Esports Insider says: N3rd Street Gamers have made some good moves as of late, growing a respectable roster of partners and solid list of venues for amateur players to compete and potentially kick-start their careers in esports. Good on Kellogg’s for supporting grassroots movements in the industry!
