Magic Gaming , the NBA 2K League affiliate team of The Orlando Magic, announced a partnership with online platform Esport-Management to host online Pro-Am NBA 2K tournaments.
Founded in 2017, Esport-Management is an online platform designed to foster emerging esports talent in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive , League of Legends , and FIFA 19 . The site includes assessment tools, professional training and skill development components, and a tournament module. Esport-Management currently works alongside other competitive organizations including DreamHack , G2 Esports , and AS Monaco.
This is the first partnership of its kind between an online platform and a team in the NBA 2K League. The tournaments will create a dedicated space for players outside the League while giving coaches and recruiters a way to scout up and coming talent.

Tournament participants will compete for the chance to win “unique” prizes, according to the release. Magic Gaming will host co-branded social media content and in-game advertising on its official social media feeds and Twitch channel.
Other terms of the deal, such as anticipated tournament dates, were not disclosed.
“Magic Gaming is thrilled to welcome this unique partnership with Esport-Management,” said Magic Gaming Esports partnership development manager Gabriel Causse in a statement. “With this new partnership, we will be able to provide NBA 2K players of all levels an opportunity to compete online on a safe and professional platform. Not only will it allow players who didn’t make the NBA 2K League a way to stay competitive, but it will allow NBA 2K coaches to keep an eye on the new talent that is out there.”
