Valve 
has established dates for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive major tournaments in 2020 and 2021 and is seeking proposals from tournament organizers.
HLTV first reported that an email has been sent to tournament organizers noting the following timeframes for planned majors: May 11-24 and Nov. 2-15 in 2020; and May 10-23 and Nov. 1-14 in 2021. Each two-week span is shorter than the timeframes used for 2018-19 major tournaments. Valve has since confirmed the contents of the report to The Esports Observer.
Valve will decide on 2020 proposals by June, according to the site, and will already consider 2021 proposals as well. The report suggests that the dates have been set much earlier than usual, providing partners a better opportunity to plan events around the two large official majors each year.

The moves come following an outcry from players and teams earlier this year over the announcement of the $1M USD StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, which takes place from August 20 – Sept. 8. That timeframe is at the tail-end of the players’ typical season break, and may impact their vacation plans.
“In our meeting with Valve during the major in London, we informed Valve that it is the view of the players that arranging a major immediately after a player break is the worst possible option, Mads Øland, CEO of the Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association (CSPPA), told The Esports Observer back in February.
