Gillette revealed that it will activate at TwitchCon Europe this weekend in Berlin by leveraging its recently unveiled Gillette Gaming Alliance (GGA) of 11 streamers from 11 different countries.
The razor brand announced the GGA last month as a collection of streamers who would promote Gillette on their streams as well as at TwitchCon Europe. As a part of the activation, the brand started a “Bits for Blades” promotion in which Twitch viewers could obtain Twitch’s donation currency, Twitch Bits, by purchasing select Gillette products.
For this part of its partnership with Twitch
, Gillette will have two streaming stations for its GGA members that includes Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, as well as a shave station and curing station for both GGA streamers and fans.Related Article: Gillette Teams With Twitch to Activate Online Using Streamers From 11 Countries
Additionally, there will be a machine used to help customize razors, and Gillette will have demos for its heated razor. Fans in attendance will be given the opportunity to sample razors as well as participate in meet-and-greets with GGA streamers.
Meanwhile, Gillette will use the GGA to raise funds for charities as a part of the brand’s “The Best Men Can Be” campaign. GGA streamers will be allowed to dedicate their livestream to yet-to-be-disclosed select charities, and in turn, Gillette will match whatever is raised by the streamers.
Other recent gaming activities by Gillette include a Virtus.pro Dota 2 player being featured in a commercial, and the brand’s sponsorship of the League of Legends Brazilian Championship.
