Global esports merchandiser and retail company We Are Nations has acquired Sector Six Apparel, which was previously under the umbrella of OpTic Gaming’s parent company Infinite Esports & Entertainment
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but as a part of the acquisition, Sector Six will begin to expand into Europe early this year.
“With this acquisition we will be given the appropriate resources to begin our global expansion with an initial focus of Europe as well as continue our push in the collegiate market,” Josh Whatley, Sector Six brand director, said in a statement. “We had an incredible 2018 and look to carry the momentum into 2019 with We Are Nations.
Infinite Esports & Entertainment expanded its esports holdings in March when it added Sector Six to its portfolio. Since then, the brand worked with OpTic Gaming to make gear and the company’s Overwatch League

However, in December, just days after the Overwatch League gave its merchandising rights to sports licensing giant Fanatics, OpTic Gaming added We Are Nations as a partner to represent the team in retail and merchandising deals, potentially representing a shift in Infinite’s strategy regarding esports apparel.
Along with OpTic, We Are Nations works with numerous teams, leagues, and organizers including popular World of Warcraft esports organization Method, the Blast Pro Series
