Media company ProSiebenSat.1’s sports business unit, 7Sports, has acquired the exclusive German broadcast rights to this season’s BLAST Pro Series Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournaments.
ProSiebenSat.1 signed a licensing agreement with BLAST Pro Series owner, RFRSH Entertainment
Each BLAST Pro Series tournament has a $250K USD prize pool and features six teams: five of the world’s top CS:GO squads along with the best local team from the host region. After Brazil, the next event takes place in Miami, Florida, in April. ProSieben MAXX will also broadcast from that event. Additionally, the network’s ran eSports: Professional. Gaming. Magazine. show will report from the events.

“Via the licensing agreement for the BLAST Pro Series, we have secured one of the largest and most relevant Counter-Strike tournaments for ProSieben MAXX and our online platforms,” said Stefan Zant, managing director and COO of 7Sports. “Thanks to the impressive staging of the events and the participation of the best international esports teams, this will be a special experience for the viewers. In January, RFRSH Entertainment announced a similar deal for Brazilian broadcast rights with free-to-air network, Globo TV. Last month, ProSiebenSat.1 agreed to a German TV deal with DreamHack
