  • Tel Aviv based training platform developer Novos.gg has announced a $750K USD funding round led by Reimagine Ventures.
  • Overwolf and Intel contributed to the round, as part of the two company’s joint $7M fund for competitive gaming apps.
  • Novos plans to expand its team in Israel, and further develop its technology for the general market.

Novos.gg, an Israeli startup focused on training tools for competitive gamers, has raised $750K in funding. Leading the round was Remagine Ventures, with additional investment from firms including Kaedan Capital, and boutique investment bank LionTree. PC app store Overwolf Database-Link-e1521645463907 also joined the investment through The Overwolf Fund, in partnership with Intel Database-Link-e1521645463907.

“It was very important to us to find the right partners,” Or Briga, co-founder and CEO of Novos,  said in a statement. “We are on a mission to change the way gamers grow better today and even more importantly—the way they define themselves and their goals. We are providing gamers with the perfect training environment, imagine a world in which every kid who aspires to become a soccer player would be able to practice at the Real Madrid stadium.”

Novos has developed a platform for competitive gamers aspiring for the professional level, which assesses a player’s ability before delivering a goal-oriented training program. Established in 2017, Novos plans to use the funding to expand its team in Israel, and further develop its technology.

The Overwolf Fund, of which Novos is a recipient of, delivers $100K to $500K in each approved developer, based on the need and value of the project. Rather than acquiring shares in the company building the app or mod, the fund is paid back through revenue sharing. Intel Captial Database-Link-e1521645463907 led a $16M series B funding round in Overwolf in late 2018, which included Liberty Technology Venture Capital, and Overwolf’s existing investors, including Marker LLC.
