DreamHack has announced that Telia Finland has secured media rights for the ESL Pro Tour. The ESL Pro Tour hosts a series of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) events spanning more than 20 tournaments and leagues. The tour will feature an aggregate prize pool of more than $5M for 2020 from competitions across five continents. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

The ESL Pro Tour will expand by combining previously unconnected ESL and DreamHack tournaments into one circuit that finishes with two grand championships each year. This new endeavor was done in part to give more players a path to being a CS:GO professional as well as creating in-depth content so that fans can get to know their favorite players better.

Starting with the ESL Pro League and CS:GO tournaments such as ESL One and DreamHack Masters, Telia’s first broadcasts will begin in March. The new season will begin later this month, with games played March 16 – April 12, with a prize pool of $750K.

ESL runs global esports tournaments for more than 30 games and produces thousands of hours of esports content from its tournaments and studios worldwide. DreamHack, a gaming lifestyle festival, operates numerous tournament events, with 12 festivals spread over three continents during 2020.
