The esports ownership group behind Astralis, Origen, and Future FC has announced a partnership with GLHF, an esports competition platform.
Financial details were not disclosed, but it was stated that the partnership would not include jersey exposure for Astralis Group teams. Instead, it would be based solely on “media and content deliverables,” though what this will consist of has not yet been revealed.
Previously, the Astralis Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team was featured in media content created by eSports.com, which was a partner of the team before the platform’s acquisition by 7Sports in October 2019.
GLHF Entertainment AB was launched as a joint venture between UK betting company William Hill and Gamingzone Entertainment. GLHF.gg primarily lets viewers watch streams, predict outcomes, and answer trivia questions, gaining experience which can be spent on prizes, such as in-game skins for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. A separate site, betGLHF.gg allows for live betting on gaming streams.
GLHF.gg is to be relaunched in March 2020, with tickets to esports events and behind-the-scenes content to be added as features.
