Capcom Cup Activates Brand with Street Fighter V: Pocky Edition

Ezaki Glicothe, the makers of chocolate-covered biscuit stick snack Pocky, announced that it has entered into a brand sponsorship agreement with Capcom through the “Pocky K.O. Challenge.”  

A “Pocky K.O.” takes place when a player wins a Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition match while the player has a health gauge that looks like a Pocky stick. Players can attain the opportunity of a Pocky K.O., called a “Pocky Chance,” when the ratio of the health bar-to-damage received looks like a Pocky stick.

To showcase their first global partnership, Pocky and Capcom have announced the limited release of Street Fighter V: Pocky EDITION, which will debut in a special exhibition match at CAPCOM CUP 2019 take place Dec.13-15, in Los Angeles, California. Globally ranked esports players will play a series of exhibition matches for a chance to win the Pocky K.O. Challenge.

To commemorate the collaboration, Ezaki Glico USA is also releasing a limited-edition Street Fighter V Pocky Chocolate.

Pocky joins a list of Street Fighter esports partners which includes Razer, Vertagear, Victrix, and Arcade1UP.
