Wizards District Gaming players will wear an Alarm.com jersey patch as part of the deal, plus it will have entitlement rights to coverage of the team’s number-one overall pick at the NBA 2K League Draft on Feb. 19, 2020. The companies are also planning “experiential activations,” along with social media features, collaborative content, Twitch brand integration, and more.
“We are thrilled to announce Alarm.com as the official jersey patch partner of Wizards District Gaming,” said Monumental Sports & Entertainment Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Zach Leonsis, in a release. “Headquartered locally with a tremendous global reach and focus on technology, Alarm.com is trusted by millions of people worldwide to protect their homes and businesses, and we couldn’t be more excited to incorporate their brand in a wide array of unique activations.”
Wizards District Gaming parent company Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) has been aligned with Alarm.com for years, including a partnership with the NHL’s Washington Capitals that began in 2015. MSE also owns the Wizards, WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go, and just this week established a Caps Gaming brand to focus on hockey esports initiatives.
