When they do tally one, you would probably expect it to come against a team like Detroit or Portland. Milwaukee is 6-1 at home and they won’t be lenient with Washington in this game, not with the result counting in the in-season tournament standings in addition to the regular season.
Washington does enter Friday in good shape. There wasn’t much to note in the depth chart for injuries that were not already known. Delon Wright, a second-string guard, has been out for a little while.

The Bucks last played on Wednesday. They fell to the Boston Celtics in a game the C’s hosted. The margin was just a three-point loss in a tough game. Previously, Milwaukee was in Washington to take on the Wizards. The result in that game was 142-129 in Milwaukee’s favor.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had an illness noted late on Thursday. His ESPN player profile says that he is probable for the game on Friday. That is a bit of a hangup for bettors thinking about taking the Bucks to cover the big spread. You would prefer that he was active without any kind of issue. Milwaukee backers will want to make sure he is not downgraded.

With these big-spread games, there is a lot to worry about. Mainly, what happens if Milwaukee is winning huge but hands the game over to the bench? -14.0 could be a lot for the Bucks to cover if the second string is up against Washington starters or mixed starters/substitutes (bet365). There are plenty of NBA games that start out as 25-point leads that shrink because the backups can’t hold it.
But Washington has not really hung with the strongest teams this season. In road games at Indiana and Philly, the Wizards went -23 and -18. I don’t know that bettors can be too enthusiastic about this spread. I think bettors should take the points on Washington, mainly because the Bucks also play in an early game on Sunday. I think they might be using the deep bench in this one if they have a huge lead in order to get through the entire weekend unscathed. That will make -14.0 tough to protect, assuming the Bucks race out to a big lead.
