Russian and CIS esports club Virtus.pro has named Haval as its official automotive sponsor, focusing specifically on its Dota 2 team. The agreement includes logo placement on Virtus.pro’s player jerseys.

The deal itself is with Haval Motor Manufacturing Rus LLC, which distributes the Chinese automotive brand’s SUVs and spare parts within the Russian Federation. This is the company’s first global esports partnership. In addition to Dota 2, Virtus.pro also competes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, and Rainbow Six Siege.

Virtus.pro did not answer questions about financial terms of the deal.

Virtus.pro is an esports team of ESforce Holding, which also owns tournament organizer EPICENTER and broadcasting and production company Ru Hub. The Haval deal was brokered by ESforce’s own sales agency.
