UNF0RGIVEN Is Headed to LCS as the Bot Laner Is Reportedly Signing With 100 Thieves

MAD Lions AD Carry, William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen, is close to joining 100T after his first year in LEC.

After a very successful 2021 with back-to-back championships, MAD Lions were in a small rebuilding stage in the 2022 season. With the departure of their champion bot laner Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság, MAD had signed UNF0RGIVEN from SK Gaming Prime. After a slow adjustment in Spring, UNF0RGIVEN had an individually good Summer Split, even though MAD Lions infamously failed to win best-of series all year and unfortunately got eliminated during Worlds 2022 Play-Ins.

After Worlds ended, MAD Lions decided to go back to a much more experienced, and also familiar, face in the bot lane and brought Carzzy back from Team Vitality. With most other LEC teams also filling their ADC spot, it looked like UNF0RGIVEN might have to play in the ERLs. But in unexpected news, Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger reported today that the Swedish AD Carry will play under the 100 Thieves organization in 2023, but it is not certain if he will be in the newly founded NACL or in LCS.

UNF0RGIVEN heading to the LCS Academy might be the case as 100 Thieves is rumored to be pursuing a roster consisting of veterans and rookie players from their Academy team. The big names attached to the roster so far are the long-time LCS players Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg and Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng. Considering the pedigree of these two players, and being residents, it could be likely for them to be 100T’s first choice of signings for the main team.

In his report, Wooloo also mentioned that LFL’s Karmine Corp was also interested in signing UNF0RGIVEN, but it looks like the young ADC decided LCS was the better choice. Following this, KC reached an agreement with Turkish ADC Muhammed Hasan “Kaori” Şentürk from Evil Geniuses, according to a report from Blix.gg’s Alejandro “anonimotum” Gomis.
