The second half of March saw gaming conversation volume jump 71% in comparison to the first two weeks, according to numbers released by Twitter. Additionally there has been a 38% increase overall in unique authors and in the U.S., there has been an 89% increase in conversation and a 50% increase in unique authors.

With the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) keeping a majority of Americans at home, gaming and esports have seen a significant increase in viewership and engagement numbers. In fact, esports is now being sought after in terms of video content on channels such as ESPN, Disney XD, and FOX Sports as a substitute for sporting events that have been canceled.

On the esports organization side of Twitter, FaZe Clan comes in as the No. 1 most tweeted about organization on the platform, with G2, Made in Brazil, Fnatic, and Cloud9 rounding out the top five, respectively.
