The Third PUBG Classic Lands in Bangkok at the MET Asia Series

The superior battle royale skills of PUBG’s top competitors was on full display at the first PUBG Classic last month and now fans can mark their calendars for the MET Asia Series, the final PUBG Classic of 2019. The top teams from  PCL, PKL, PJS, PML, and SEA Championship will gather in Bangkok, Thailand beginning July 26 to battle for their share of a $300,000 prize pool and the title of MET Asia Series champion.

The winner of the MET Asia Series, in keeping with the PUBG Classic tradition, will unlock an additional seat for their home region at this fall’s PUBG Global Championship. Korea, North America and Europe have each added to their share of seats at the PUBG Global Championship thanks to their 1-2-3 finish at the Faceit Global Summit. With Western teams heading to the GLL Grand Slam after Phase 2, talented teams from the Asian regions will be looking to upset the global pecking order at the MET Asia Series.

Before they can think worldwide dominance, however, teams throughout Asia will be looking to qualify for the MET Asia Series itself. Teams will battle throughout Phase 2 in an effort to qualify as one of the top teams from their PUBG league or pro circuit and a chance to make it to Bangkok.

For fans who find themselves in Thailand the weekend of July 26-28, general admission tickets to the MET Asia series at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) are free and available on the event website starting June 22 8:00 p.m. PDT. With so many talented teams and so much on the line, this PUBG esports event is bringing the best of battle royale to the heart of Southeast Asia.
