Seven eSports titles that don’t require high-end PC – esportsjunkie

Several competitive games can run on low-end PCs and notebooks, such as: League of Legends (LoL), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and Magic: The Gathering Arena card game. The titles, that are a true success in the esports industry, do not demand such advanced graphics, and at the same time are free to download. Here are seven competitive games that can run on notebooks and basic PCs.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO)

Released in August 2012 by Valve Corporation, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) is amongst the veteran title of eSports and the most prestigious FPS (First-Person Shooter) in the industry. In addition to having several competitions around the world the title host some of the best organizations in the world, with the likes of: Astralis, Liquid and C9. This is a game that does not demand so much hardware output and can be downloaded for free on Steam.

PUBG Lite

PUBG Lite was released by PUBG Corp as a lighter option of its famous Battle Royale PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Its minimum requirements are much smaller and do not require a machine as powerful as in the original game. It is worth mentioning that PUBG Lite is a free game and does not yet have an official competitive scenario.

League of Legends

Launched by Riot Games in October 2009, League of Legends stands out for being a huge success in the competitive, with regional leagues and world championships with millionaire prizes. In addition, LoL is also a big name when it comes to accessibility: it can be played on more basic PCs, and perhaps because of that, it has a large number of active players.

Fortnite

Fortnite is a free Battle Royale and absolute worldwide success. Its competitive landscape hosts major awards such as the Fortnite World Cup, which will distribute $ 112 million in prizes for players in 2019. Developed by Epic Games, the game can be a bit heavy when played at higher settings, but it’s a good choice for a more basic PCs and runs smoothly at minimum graphics.

Hearthstone

Developed by Blizzard , Hearthstone is an excellent choice for World of Warcraft fans who love card games. With an established competitive landscape that features regional circuits and international tournaments, Hearthstone is a good game to run on minimum setup requirements.

Gwent

Released in October 2018, Gwent is another free card game that can be played on PCs with more basic settings. The game developed by CD Projekt , happens in the universe of The Witcher and also already has a professional circuit, which is organized by the developer of the game.

Magic: The Gathering Arena

Successful since the 90’s, the famous card game has won its PC adaptation called Magic: The Gathering Arena . Developed by Wizards of the Coast, the game features a recent competitive circuit, which began in February 2019 and ends in December with the Magic World Championship. Like other card games, Magic also does not demand much of the PC, and can run on the most basic configurations.
