Hong Kong-based esport organization Nova Esports has announced a partnership with Indian PUBG MOBILE organization Godlike Esports. As per the announcement, Nova Esports will be looking after players’ salaries, boot camp support, and provide the team with international exposure.

The team will play under the name Nova Godlike and a new logo has been released that represents both organizations. This isn’t the first time such a partnership has been seen in the subcontinent: In March Team SoloMid announced a similar partnership with Indian organization Entity Gaming. The deal also saw Entity’s PUBG MOBILE roster play under the TSM-Entity tag.

Godlike owned by content creator and player, Chetan ‘Kronten’ Chandgude. The team recently qualified for Season Zero of the PUBG MOBILE World League, after placing third in the PUBG MOBILE Pro League South Asia League stage.

Nova Esports is a self-described mobile-focused organization. It has a global presence with teams in South America, Europe, and Asia. Similar to names such as Tribe Gaming, Nova Esports is a well-known brand in the mobile esports space having fielded rosters in PUBG MOBILE, Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, and Clash of Clans. The organization has also recently announced its entry into League of Legends with a team that plays in the Pacific Championship Series.

According to the announcement, Nova Esports realized just how popular PUBG MOBILE was in India after witnessing fans and supporters of Team SouL at the PUBG MOBILE Club Open Spring finals in Berlin, in July 2019.
