Method Returns to TakeTV Studio for Next World of Warcraft Raid Race

European team outfit Method will work once again with German esports production company TakeTV for its next “Race to World First” broadcast, Method and other top-level organizations will attempt to beat the new Ny’alotha World of Warcraft raid before any other team worldwide. Broadcasting begins Jan. 28, with commentary and analysis through the Method Twitch channel. Eleven Method players, as well as five from German guild Aversion will stream their attempts live from the TakeTV studio in Krefeld, Germany.

Having won both of 2019’s major raid races, Method stated that over 758.5M viewer minutes were spent on its Twitch channel over July 15-21 (the most recent race), reaching a peak concurrent view count of 248K. More than half were from Europe, and an additional 38% from North America. The raid is made available in North America first, giving teams in that region a head start.

A charity drive will be run alongside the raid race, with Method having raised $60K for Save the Children in the most recent Race to World First. A viewing party will also be held at the Cologne location of esports bar franchise Meltdown, and an afterparty will be held at TakeTV Studios.

Shanna Roberts, general manager of Method, said in a statement that the organization had spent the last few months assembling a talent team who will commentate not only for Method, but for over 30 partner point-of-view (POV) broadcasts. “TaKeTV provides a world-class venue that will host not only our guild members, but for the first time we will be featuring in-house raiders from other guilds from around the world,” she said.

According to the announcement image posted on Method’s Twitter account, brand partners listed for the event include MSI, CORSAIR, Twitch, Fanbyte, and NordVPN.
