Overlords of Orlando, a monthly Super Smash Bros. tournament series announced several non-endemic sponsors for its “Octoberlords” event on Oct. 26 at Full Sail University’s Hall of Fame venue. The Orlando, Florida, event is organized by pro player Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma, who competes in Super Smash Bros. for Team Liquid and is the number one Super Smash Bros. Melee player in the world as of this writing.

Octoberlords will be a one-day event featuring both Singles and Doubles for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Melee. The event offers a $1K USD pot bonus for Ultimate Singles and a $500 pot bonus for Melee Singles.

Jersey Mike’s Subs was named as an event sponsor for Octoberlords, Debiedma said on Twitter. The sandwich restaurant chain will provide food to Overlords of Orlando staff and volunteers during the event. Jersey Mike’s will also serve as the presenting partner for the Ultimate Singles event’s $1K pot bonus (a supplemental prize pool added to the event in addition to prizing pulled from player entry fees).

Team Liquid helped to secure the sponsorship deals. Jersey Mike’s became the official sub sandwich of Team Liquid in January.

Blood Centers of America and the Suncoast Bloodbank will also be on-site taking blood donations. Attendees give blood in exchange for a free spectator pass.

Debiedma was recently named a brand ambassador for EON GCHD GameCube to HDMI adapters and will provide them for use with HDMI monitors during the competition.
