Digitas is set to sign the former 100 Thieves support Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black and buy the contracts for Golden Guardians mid laner Henrik “Froggen” Hansen and Team SoloMid jungler Jonathan “Grig” Armao, according to ESPN.
The three now complete the Dignitas roster which has added AD carry Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen and resigned Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon to a new deal.
It was also reported that Dignitas had been trying to sign Cloud9 AD carry Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi but failed to reach an agreement, with Sneaky now likely to remain benched for at least the first split after Cloud9 acquired Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen from Team SoloMid.
Rumors in the past week had suggested that Dignitas was having problems finalizing its 2020 roster due to the Huni deal costing the organization ⅓ of its total budget. This came after reports suggested that Huni would be earning $2.3M in guaranteed money over the course of the next two years of his contract.
With these deals now in place, Dignitas will field a starting roster of:
Top – Huni
Jungler – Grig
Mid – Froggen
ADC – Johnsun
Support – Aphromoo
With this roster, Dignitas looks in a solid place heading into 2020. With fan favorites like Aphromoo, Huni and Froggen on the team and Academy prospects Johnsun and Grig, the team looks set to have a good balance between youth and experience.
Once these are confirmed it will mean that the LCS teams have now locked in their starting rosters for the 2020 LCS, with only Academy changes likely to happen now. Providing we don’t get any shocks.
