Map 1 : Ancient (Pick : Kingpins, Winner : Kingpins, Final Score : 16:7)

Kingpins kicked off Ancient on the right foot by securing the pistol round on the T-side and the anti-eco round that followed. Reckoning Esports retaliated in the third round, winning the first buy round of the game, but couldn’t keep up their momentum as Kingpins won the next three rounds back to back.

Reckoning pulled off a surprising win in the seventh round despite having an extremely low investment of just upgraded pistols against their opponents who were on a full buy. Kingpins managed to win the following round but Reckoning were able to secure the next three rounds to make the score 5-6. The rest of the half saw some great individual performances from Kingpins players as the half ended with a score of 9-6 in favor of Kingpins.

The second pistol round didn’t go as smooth as the first one for Kingpins. However, DiceDealer pulled off an astonishing post-plant 1v2 clutch and defused the bomb with a kit to give his team the head start in the second half. Despite Reckoning Esports winning their force-buy round that followed, the rest of the second half was a one-sided showdown from Kingpins who closed out the game 16-7, rallying behind some stellar performances from DiceDealer (24K/11D) and Benzene (21K/15D).

Map 2 : Inferno (Pick : Reckoning Esports, Winner : Kingpins, Final Score : 16:12)

Inferno was much more of a nail biter than the first game on Ancient, especially during the first half that saw both teams fighting neck and neck to gain the advantage over the other. Reckoning Esports started the game off with an advantage on the T-side after winning the first three rounds of the game. Kingpins were swift to strike back, winning the next six rounds back to back before Reckoning regained their composure. The first half ended 8-7 in the favor of Reckoning Esports.

Reckoning Esports managed to secure the pistol round on the CT side as well, but failed to convert the follow-up round on account of a 1v2 post-plant clutch from DiceDealer. He also enabled Kingpins to take the lead on the 21st round with an amazing 3K with his trusty AK-47. Kingpins then proceeded to win five of the seven rounds that followed to close the game 16-12.

As a result, the best-of-three series ended 2-1 in favor of Kingpins. Bhavi was undoubtedly the star of the second map, rocking an insane 31 kills with only 18 deaths and an ADR of 99.2.

With this defeat, Reckoning Esports drop to the lower bracket, where they will battle it out with Wasted Potentials on Day 3 of the event.

Teams will play out each other in a double elimination bracket with all the match-ups to be Best of 3s. You can catch the live action on AA’s YouTube, Glance, Rooter channels and on their Facebook Page.
