Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends competitions help to create the most esports-heavy top 10 so far this fall.

Meanwhile, some influencers see a week-over-week boost in hours watched after coming back from TwitchCon in San Diego.

The following channels are ranked according to the total number of hours watched on Twitch from Monday to the following Sunday, with data compiled using TEO Access.

What Dreams Are Made Of

The CORSAIR DreamHack Masters Malmö for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this past week led Twitch with two channels in the top 10 that produced 3.88M and 1.17M hours watched, respectively.

English-language coverage of the event that spanned Oct. 1-6 led all channels, and peaked at 226.6K concurrent viewers. Live coverage of the tournament in Sweden saw average viewership slowly rise throughout the week.

While early days of the competition averaged around 50K CCV, average viewership climbed to 69K on Friday, and 94K on Saturday. The event’s final day averaged 122K CCV on the main DreamHack channel.

Around The World

While the League of Legends Championship Series and LoL European Championship have concluded competition for the season, the beginning stages of the World Championship (also known as Worlds) give LoL esports a more worldwide appeal, and viewership across multiple LoL esports channels provide evidence to back up that claim.

Over the course of the next month, 24 teams from around the world will duke it out to determine which team is the best in the world, and early viewership for the Worlds 2019 shows the sort of international appeal the event has.

In just the first week of Worlds 2019 play, channels covering LoL esports in three different languages made it into the top 10, with the main Riot Games channel producing 3.28M hours watched.

As Worlds 2019 action continues to ramp up over the next few weeks, it could be expected that the top 10 list of most-watched channels will have even more LoL influence.

Back in Action

Due to many influencers taking a break from streaming to attend TwitchCon in San Diego two weeks ago, influencer-based viewership suffered. However, this past week, a couple of streamers made notable improvements in hours watched as they seamlessly returned to action.

Zack “Asmongold” (last name unknown) and Félix “xQc” Lengyel each saw their viewership spike right back up after taking a few days to attend TwitchCon. While Lengyel did a couple of “Just Chatting” streams live from TwitchCon, his viewership overall dipped from the week before. Meanwhile, Asmongold’s time off from streaming also caused his hours watched to decline.

However, as each returned to their normal schedule, the two have seen notable climbs in overall viewership that have kept them in the top 10 despite it being an esports-heavy week.
