Tejas “rite2ace” Sawant through a Twitlonger has announced that he has decided to quit CS:GO and might pursue a career in Valorant.

Tejas joined Global Esports in April following the disbanding of his Ex-team Entity gaming after they emerged victorious at the ESL India Premiership Winter Lan Finale by toppling BL4ZE Esports led by Agneya “Marzil” Koushik and his troops in the grand finale. Upon being recruited by Global Esports, he did play a plethora of community tournaments under the banner of same but the team didn’t play any matches on the national level and international as well.

But upon the launch of Riot’s first-person tactical shooter, Ace did put up some amazing statistics in his records while competing in the former’s closed beta.

This news does come as a surprise after the 26yo went on to be the first Indian player from the professional scene to call quits on CS:GO in a bid to switch his gaming interests. He really did live up to his passion while competing at Counter-Strike where he was a part of the Major playing team at ESL Cologne 2014, the only tournament which saw India be a part of a Valve Sponsored Event.

I have decided to leave competitive counter-strike for good. Playing almost 10+ years CS1.6 included, I have made alot of good memories, travelled around playing LAN events, made new friends and it was an amazing experience throughout. But past couple of months, I have lost all the motivation/will to play this game. If I want to compete in anything, I always give my best.
