How to Watch FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1 Finals & Earn Twitch Drops

by Matt Pryor

ESTNN provides you everything you need to know about the FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1 Finals.

This weekend marks the end of the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) in Chapter 3 Season 1. Duos worldwide have worked hard to understand and perfect this season’s meta since December. There’s been no shortage of roster changes and drama within the scene, which added to the overall entertainment value. However, the time for talk and build-up has nearly reached its end.

FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1 featured an abbreviated three-week format—a vastly different approach compared to past events. Duos in each of the game’s seven worldwide regions competed in back-to-back Qualifiers and the ensuing Semi-Finals for a chance to compete in the season’s conclusion. Only 50 teams per region made it this far, and they’re competing for a share of $3M USD and the in-game Axe of Champions reward.

Today, ESTNN provides you with a viewing guide ahead of the action this week. We’ll revisit the format, scoring system, schedule and prize distribution before outlining ways to watch the competitions.

Format

Explaining the FNCS format

As we mentioned, 50 Duos in each region made it to this point in the competitive season. What comes next won’t be easy, and it will test every competitor’s mental stamina like no event thus far. For most regions, the FNCS Chapter 3 Season 1 Finals begin on Saturday with the first six matches. Six more matches follow on Sunday, where Duos with the most cumulative points across both days will claim victory.

The newly implemented “Match Point” could come into play, but it’s not likely. A team would have to earn 500 points and three Victory Royales before the end of all 12 matches. It would be an outstanding achievement if it occurs.

Scoring System

How to Earn Twitch Drops

FNCS Twitch Drops

Those who watched the Qualifiers and Semi-Finals had the opportunity to win an exclusive FNCS C3:S1 Emoticon and Spray. Unfortunately, you can no longer earn these based on what we know about this season. However, Epic Games saved the best for last. This Friday through Sunday, you can tune into any Twitch stream that has Twitch Drops turned on to receive a free Back Bling and Loading Screen.

To do this, you must connect your Epic Games account to your Twitch account and watch for at least 30 minutes. After that, you will receive a notification to claim the Twitch Drop. Keep in mind, you must unmute the stream and physically collect your reward. You should see the prize appear in-game if done successfully.

Seven Duos will claim the coveted Axe of Champions and become their region’s best team this weekend. You don’t want to miss the action, so tune in to the various broadcasts to see how it all unfolds.
