What makes someone risk it all for the game they love?
Why would someone play a character everyone has written off, when they’re trying to become the best player in the world?
And what would compel that person to travel the world, grinding the toughest fighting game out there? All for a $7,500 Grand Prize.
Tekken is the most exciting fighting game in the world right now. And for Rangchu, the kid who did all that, it’s his life.

Real life under dog story. Hits the feels
Raaaangchuuu
Can’t believe I watched this ??
ive been waiting for this since TWT 2018 ended. finally!
Tekken is one of the FG that I don't play, but T7 is amazing and so much hype to watch. DEF the best FG to watch.
i Feel like when Asians lie to their parents about what they are really doing they end up doing something heroic AF.
This reminds me of Kirby in super smash Ultimate
True inspiration
Airdashers never get any attention
I'm confused…panda and bear has always been secretly OP. That fucking bear…
the most exiting game right now…
Yo he’s making me want to pick up tekken
thanks for using Namco channel's video instead of someone else's upload lol
This has gotta be one of the best underdog stories I've seen in years
rangchu didnt impress me by picking panda.. he impressed me by how he cannot be mixed up even by pros. those hellsweep blocks man..
This video should be titled "Opinions presented as fact"
Panda can sit on my face
Already saw this. No need for making a video of a video
I still think the trophy should be a heihachi head
Yo, I watched TWT Finals day one baby.
For anyone who plays smash and tekken. Is playing panda like playing lil mac?
I remember this was going on during a bunch of other tournaments streaming on Twitch. I never watched Tekken before but stumbled upon this tournament and my god, watching this panda climb through losers was the highlight of any other tournament I was watching. Rangchu is a god damn legend.
You guys missed the part where Aris asked if they were gonna kiss after the win
When the asian beast releases within
don't you guys know that it is kung fu panda????
That was Shonen!
"Tekkens the most exciting fighting game in the world right now". No it's not.
"tekken is the most exciting game in the world right now""
BOI
This sounds like the plot of kung fu panda ?? in a good way
A real life anime protagonist
One thing not talked about in this video that I think is important is that Bear matchups do have a hidden strength. (Btw I'm not trying to say this means they are better than bottom tier)
It has to do with their hit boxes. Because bears have such short legs, typically combos that work on every other character dont work against bears. To pros this means doing shorter, less damaging combos. To casuals this mean dropping combos.
This is why although tekken players generally consider bears to be weak, at the same time nobody really likes playing against them.
You can see this in the video when Rangchu was fighting Knee's DJ. Knee opted many times to end his combos early to gain an advantage on oki (opponent on the ground) instead of doing higher damage combos.
Also, more tekken videos please. So many stories like Rangchu's that are very inspiring and entertaining. I suggest next one be about Arslan starting with him defeating Knee in Dubai last year.
Another advantage is that the players don’t know panda’s moves since no one use her
Tekken is like the Dota 2 in fighting game category. It's complex and quite hard to master. Even you still feel shame and insecure although you have 5k hours of playing and pretty high rank. So having a Panda, which was constantly the least favorite character in ranked and pro plays, to win a major tournament is like watching OG won the TI except they all played techies.
Tekken is not the most exciting fighting game in the world nor the hardest fighter. Trash video
Now we just need someone in R6 to win with Tachanka…
#MakeTachankaASmashBrosCharacter.
Rangchu beating Knee and Qudans was one of the good things of 2018
Shoutout to my man Core A gaming man
