As a result, the platform will continue to provide data solutions for the CS:GO Major’s broadcast and commercial partners.

Using GRID’s technology, the platform will also extend its services to include data and video security, allowing the company to monitor sporting integrity during the event.

The collaboration between GRID and PGL is a continuation of the partnership between both entities that first began in 2019.

Charlie Hanley-Nickolls, Chief Product Officer at GRID, commented: “The first esports event I ever attended as a fan was PGL Bucharest back in 2017, and the consistency and quality of what Silviu and his team put out is always first class. The fact that we can contribute to this incredible fan’s experience as the official data partner of  PGL for the third year is a real privilege.”

PGL Antwerp, which officially got underway on May 9th, is PGL’s first Valve-sponsored Major of 2022. Some of the event’s commercial partners include GG.BET, Bitget and Secretlab.

The last few months have also been a busy period for GRID, with the platform announcing a new global CS:GO circuit earlier this week

PGL CEO, Silviu Stroie, added: “We’re excited to continue our partnership with GRID for the PGL Antwerp Major.

“Data has become a vital part of the esports ecosystem. The role data plays in broadcast, integrity, and revenue is crucial to the continued growth and stability of the scene.”

Esports Insider says: GRID has been associated with PGL for more than three years. As such, it makes sense that the tournament organiser teams up with the platform for its latest Major. GRID is continually growing and developing its list of clientele, however, it’s still important to see the company retain its current partners.
