Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB) will offer a League of Legends scholarship for young talent in German-speaking countries, as part of a new partnership with the Prime League. Initial funding will begin in spring 2020, in association with the esports player foundation; a not-for-profit foundation recently formed with Deutsche Telekom to support rising esports players in Germany.

Although financial terms were not disclosed, the release mentioned that DKB—a direct bank that is focused on digitalization—is focused on the “young and digital target group” found in esports.

The bank will feature in a mix of online and offline activations in the Prime League, which is Riot Games’ official League of Legends competition for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The competition already boasts partnerships with regional brands Barmer, Tchibo, ROCKSTAR Energy Drink, Deutsche Telekom, and R+V Versicherung.
