Furia beats NRG in DreamHack Master 2019 – esportsjunkie

FURIA Esports won their first game in Dallas DreamHack Master 2019 against NRG. The SA side beat the NA team, on the Overpass map, with a 16-7 in a best of one series (BO1). With victory this, FURIA will compete against the winner of the match between Fnatic and Cloud9.

The side kicked off the first half in a much balanced way. The two sides traded rounds, until the game reached the score of 4-3 for FURIA. With good rounds from the CT side and good performance from Andrei “arT” Piovezan, the Brazilian team sailed off and opened the lead, reaching a respectable lead of 10-3. NRG managed to bounce back and got a couple of points on the board, the first half ended with the final score of 10-5 in favor of FURIA.

After the break, NRG won the round pistol and put some pressure on the Brazilians. With an impressive performance from Yuri “yuurih” Santos, the Panthers managed to win back-to-back rounds and won the match without much difficulty. The game ended 16-7 for the Brazilians, who progressed to the upper bracket of the competition.

The DreamHack Masters is the biggest competition organized by DreamHack. It hosts an attractive prize pool of US $ 250,000. The competition has two groups composed of eight teams, where teams are currently competing against each in best of one games. The best teams in each group qualify for the playoffs, where all matches will be played in the best of three format.

Vitality reigns supreme over MIBR in the HLTV rankings

Vitality ‘s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) team climbed six ranks in the HLTV ranking and outperformed MIBR Brazilians. The French, who were previously in 11th place, climbed to fifth place in the table thanks to their series of impressive results. Made In Brazil is in sixth place.

In April Vitality won the Charleroi Esports 2019, and finished second in the Esports Championship Series (ECS) Season 7 – Europe. In May, the team won cs_summit 4 by beating Team Liquid in the grand final and won the European qualifiers for ESL One: Cologne 2019.

MIBR remained in the sixth place in the ranking. Although they have not won any major tournament in recent months, Brazilians have set a good pace in recent championships. In April, the team was third placed in the BLAST Pro Series: Miami, when the team beat Astralis. In May, the team was third placed at IEM Sydney 2019 and won the Season 7 of the Esports Championship Series NA .

The next MIBR games take place in June. The side Qualified for the world finals of the ECS which will take place between 6 and 9 June, the team will take on North in Group B. In the ESL Pro League, the MIBR finished the regular season at the first place in Group A and  secured its spot for the finals. The games take place between June 18 and 23.
