Three former FaZe Clan executives and the founder of Framerate have launched the new gaming organization, XSET. Founders include former FaZe Clan president George Selkoe, Vice President of Apparel/Special Projects Wil Eddins, Vice President of Business Development Clinton Sparks, and Framerate Founder Marco Mereu.

In an interview with the New York Times, Selkoe said that he left FaZe Clan in the hopes of becoming the first of its kind esports organization built on principles of inclusivity and social good. According to its web site, the company aims to be the world’s most diverse, innovative, socially conscious pop-gaming and Esports “SET” ever assembled.

“We realized there was a huge void that needed to be filled in the gaming marketplace,” Mr. Selkoe told the Times. “Gamers are from all walks of life and all backgrounds. But if you look at the current organizations, they sort of resemble a frat house. They’re not reflective of the racial and gender diversity in the gaming world.”

Featured launch members include three of the top five pro Fortnite players in North America East – Alexander “AV” Vanderveen, Tyler “KnightFN” McDougal, and Ethan “Rogueshark” Kammerman;  multi-media personality, host, producer, and consultant Erin Ashley Simon; Miami Dolphins Linebacker Kyle Van Noy; 14-year-old female skateboarding phenom and the youngest member of USA Skateboarding, Minna Stess; Call of Duty pro streamer Jordan “Proofy” Cannon; Fortnite streamer and TikTok gaming personality Ashley “AshleyBTW” Morales; Call of Duty: Warzone pro player Cory “Bartonologist” Barton; and former Fortnite pro and top Valorant player Zander “Thwifo” Kimand.

Along with its content creation team, XSET will also field teams in Valorant, Call of Duty: War Zone, and Fortnite.
