Each week, 16 competitors will battle for a prize pool of $2,000 (£1,500). Additionally, all participants will have a chance to qualify for the State Farm Championship Finals. The final will take place on December 21st and offer a $5,000 (£4,000) prize pool.

Sean Kiely, Head of Gaming and Esports Sales at Fandom discussed the event in a release: “We look forward to growing our existing relationship with Riot Games in order to provide the Teamfight Tactics community with weekly tournaments. In addition to hosting known top players, we are opening a path for new and upcoming talent to make a name for themselves online. We are particularly excited to welcome trusted brand State Farm as a partner and supporter of the Teamfight Tactics community.”

Fandom Legends: Teamfight Tactics will broadcast live on Twitch from the Fandom Studios in Culver City, Los Angeles each week on December 1st, 5th, 12th, and 19th. With the December 21st final also streamed on Twitch.

State Farm and Riot Games aren’t strangers to one another. The pair worked together on the LCS and before expanding the partnership to include international events through 2021.

Esports Insider says: Amateur events are crucial for esports to develop healthy scenes, especially when it’s a newer title such as Teamfight Tactics; tournaments such as this might even help uncover a hidden star or the next streaming icon. We’ve not seen a great deal of TFT as a competitive title outside of Twitch Rivals so it’s great to see the game continue to get outside exposure.
