Envy Gaming On Board as Seventh Founding Organization of FLASHPOINT

Envy Gaming has announced that it will be the seventh founding team of FLASHPOINT, the new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) league owned and run by team organizations. 2020 saw Envy revamp its entire roster by acquiring the likes of Buğra “Calyx” Arkın, Michał “MICHU” Müller,  Kaleb “moose” Jayne. Thus far in 2020, Envy has played only two matches, winning them both.

“We’re excited about the future of competitive Counter-Strike,” said Envy Gaming Owner and CEO, Mike Rufail. “Team Envy has been a fixture in the game for five years. With a new roster and a new home for our team in FLASHPOINT to start 2020, we expect to write the next chapter in our Counter-Strike legacy for Envy fans everywhere.”

FLASHPOINT is a CS:GO league owned and run by team organizations that will see FACEIT facilitate the league. Competition will begin in March with two offline seasons per year. It features a total $2M prize pool in 2020 and 12 teams—10 partners, and two open qualifiers.

Envy joins Cloud9, c0ntact Gaming, Dignitas, Gen.G, MAD Lions, and MiBR as a founding member.

Envy’s CS:GO accolades include 10 international titles at some of the largest tournaments such as DreamHack and WESG. The organization currently fields teams in Europe and North America. Team Envy is headquartered at the Envy Gaming training center in Dallas and the entire CS:GO roster lives and trains out of its facility in North Texas. 

Envy Gaming Inc. owns both the Overwatch League’s Dallas Fuel and Call of Duty League’s Dallas Empire.
