Additionally, the partnership will provide the Carolina Esports Hub’s high school clients with esports-related curriculum opportunities.

Rick Suarez, Managing Director of Carolina Esports Hub, spoke on the announcement: “Our mission has always been to provide a clear pathway of opportunity for students that are passionate about esports. That pathway can lead to college, to the workforce or both. Our partnership with EDGE really helps move those initiatives forward.

“We have a great relationship with the team at EDGE and are excited about how impactful their offering will be for students on our platform. We are thankful for the opportunity to work side by side with a group so passionate and talented with similar objectives that align well with the Carolina Esports Hub.”

Founded at the end of 2019, EDGE Consulting focuses on assisting academic institutions with implementing competitive esports programmes. The company’s goal is to ‘grow and develop the esports industry through high-quality consultation, deliverables and experience-driven expertise’.

Chris Scroggins, Co-founder and Partner of EDGE, added, “We are ecstatic about the partnership with Carolina Esports Hub. With the new competitive offerings through the partnership, we can provide a more comprehensive esports package to institutions and students.

“Their approach to esports in the high school space aligns with our philosophy of providing opportunities to help develop and grow individuals. We have worked with the staff at Carolina Esports Hub in the past and look forward to continuing to advance the esports industry with such a talented and passionate group.”

Esports Insider says: Scholastic esports on the high school level is certainly something that needs more support in the current space, therefore it’s good to see companies focusing on this particular segment.
