Dreamhack Masters Dallas 2019 Predictions (Group A) – esportsjunkie

by Shehryar Raza

With Dreamhack Masters Dallas right around the corner, let’s predict starting games of Group A:

Team Liquid (Global ranking: 2) vs. Lucid Dream (77)

We believe that this game will be one of the most one sided matches of the group stage. Liquid will be seeking redemption for their lack of success in IEM Sydney. While, Lucid Dream is still experimenting with its roster to find some wins in the Asian region. It is hard luck that Lucid is paired up with one of the possible contenders of the tournament. Liquid should take little time to completely outplay their opponents and start Dreamhack with a win.

Team Liquid: 16 – Lucid Dream: 6

Vitality (11) vs North (16)

This is one of the most interesting games to predict. Since Vitality is also competing in the MDL and they are ruthlessly dominating their opponents. They want to prove that they cannot be taken for granted and are on a quest to prove themselves. Meanwhile, North has also had success in the ESL Pro League. The beat Heroic and and Natus Vincere to qualify for the finals of the competition. So after looking at the forms of both teams, we are convinced that this will be a closely contested game. Yet at the end Vitality will just sneak up and get the win.

Vitality: 16 – North: 13

FaZe Clan (8) vs Windigo (19)

This will be the first time that FaZe will be competing with its new in-game leader for an entire event. We could potentially have a an upset. Yet people really really neglect the impact the factor that roster changes have on the chemistry on the team. Moreover, FaZe have a rich history of displaying exceptional performances with new names on the team. So it won’t be a crazy idea to go with FaZe on this one. Yet, at the same time we cannot take their Bulgarian opponents for granted. They have the potential to cause upsets on their day. Since we believe that they have one of the most talented rosters of the modern day.  All that being said, we are siding with Niko on this one. Since one of the most successful players of the game haven’t been in the best of form. This competition is a great opportunity to get himself back to winning ways.

FaZe Clan: 16 – Windigo: 14

Ninjas In Pyjamas (7) vs Tyloo (32)

The last match of the group A is also a very good matchup between NiP and TYloo. The latter has the potential to beat some of the best team in the world, so NiP should be an easy opponent for them. Yet they have roster troubles with rumos saying that Johnta will move to Winstrike Team. Meanwhile on Nip Lekr0, REZ and dennis are displaying decent results lately. Overall, the NiP side is far more experienced than their opponents and it should be enough for the win.

NIP: 16 – Tyloo: 11
