DreamHack and SPORT1 have signed an extension that will see the two companies continue their broadcast relationship in 2020 by producing two Dota 2 events. eSPORTS1, an SPORT1 premium channel, will broadcast DreamLeague Season 13 – The Leipzig Major live from DreamHack Leipzig Jan. 24-26. eSPORTS1 will also broadcast DreamLeague Season 14, the details of which will be announced during Spring 2020.

According to a release, highlights of the two competitions will be shown in the magazine “bwin Inside eSports” on eSPORTS1 and on free-TV. SPORT1 will also serve as the media partner of DreamHack Leipzig for the third consecutive year and will report on and create content live from the event.

“We’re proud that SPORT1 has chosen to continue working with DreamHack and to broadcast our content to their many viewers in 2020,” said Marcus Lindmark, co-CEO of DreamHack. “The broadcast of DreamLeague Season 13, the first [Dota 2 Pro Circuit] Major of 2020, on eSPORTS1 will make it accessible for all German Dota 2 fans that can’t attend the event and help further increase the hype around the tournament.”

Previously, DreamHack and SPORT1 partnered to produce Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DreamHack Masters tournaments in Dallas, Texas, and Malmö, Sweden, and Rocket League DreamHack Pro Circuit tournaments from Dallas, Valencia, Spain, and Montreal.

DreamLeague enters its 13th season and will host the first Dota Pro Circuit (DCP) Major of the new year in Leipzig. The field has 16 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams, including Team Secret, Team Liquid, Alliance, Virtus.pro and Evil Geniuses. The winner will receive $300K USD with the total prize pool being $1M.
