ESTNN brings recap of Dota 2 matches from China’s DPC games.

The professional Dota 2 action is back in China with the DPC’s second tour. We see some interesting matches, but it is early to say which teams look good until a couple of weeks of consistent performances come through. We also didn’t see Royal Never Give Up play this week. However, let’s have a look at the exciting results from the first week.

Division I

Team Aster Vs LBZS

Team Aster annihilated LBZS in the first match. The match was over in 23 minutes with a scoreline of 30-4. Aster dominated from the start to finish. The laning phase of the second match was balanced. However, Aster soon picked up the lead after 12 minutes into the game. Unable to come back after getting behind, LBZS lost 16-29 in 31 minutes.

PSG.LGD Vs Vici Gaming

The first game had a slow start, with both teams looking to get an opening to take advantage. It was LGD who broke through and claimed a significant lead in the mid-game. An off color VG couldn’t compete against LGD’s lineup. The ending scoreline was 20-29 in 35 minutes.

Vici Gaming established a small lead in the early game of the second match. Majority of their lineup had strong early game heroes which helped them control and finish the match with a win against LGD. The scoreline was 40-18 in 42 minutes.

LGD had a terrific lineup in the third game. They also took the lead first and converted that into a victory. The damage from LGD’s heroes was too much for Vici to fight into. The ending scoreline of LGD’s one sided victory was 9-25 in 23 minutes.

Vici Gaming Vs LBZS

After having a tough time with LGD, Vici played well against LBZS. The first match saw Vici get an upper-hand in the first 15 minutes of the match. They continued to dominate LBZS and won 8-31 in 30 minutes.

The second match was a lot more balanced, and both teams looked in a splendid position. After 30 minutes, LBZS took a temporary lead, which they couldn’t keep for long. Vici outplayed them. All the extended fights were costly on LBZS. The ending scoreline was 27-19 in 45 minutes.

LBZS Vs Xtreme Gaming

Both sides had their fair share of positive fights in the early to mid game window. The game was anyone’s to take, but Xtreme got a lead on LBZS after the 20th minute. The ending scoreline was 18-24 in Xtreme’s favor.

The second match was stable in the early to mid game. However, once Xtreme got the momentum and net worth advantage, they sailed the match away from LBZS. The score read 9-16 in 30 minutes.

EHOME Vs Team MagMa

The series between these two went all the way to the third game. Team MagMA won the first match with a score of 30-32. The second match saw EHOME make a bold comeback from the loss and get a 10-26 victory in 29 minutes. They also won the third match with a scoreline of 13-35 in 35 minutes.

Division II

Invictus Gaming Vs ShenZhen

Although it looked like ShenZhen were doing great in the game, Invictus took the lead first. After an interior gold advantage of 4k at 23 minutes into the game, ShenZhen crumbled and allowed Invictus to gain more lead. Invictus won the first match 33-23 in 51 minutes.

IG were sharp in the second match and controlled it well. They also had a better lineup to tackle the ShenZhen heroes in fights. The scoreline was 24-19 in 41 minutes.

Phoenix Gaming Vs Ybb Gaming

The first match between these two was an hour long, with both teams refusing to back down. Although it was obvious that Phoenix had the advantage, it took them a lot of time to close the game. The scoreline at the end was 22-41.

The second match was much more even until the 30-minute mark. However, YBB took the lead and won it 20-32 in 43 minutes.

The last match was also an hour long with YBB winning. Although the scoreline was not far apart, YBB had a lot of gold advantage. The scoreline was 34-43 in 59 minutes.

iG Vitality Vs Sparking Arrow Gaming

The first match saw SAG completely overpower iG Vitality and win 8-28 in 23 minutes. The second match was a huge contrast to the first one. Both teams had equal footings in the game, but SAG pushed a step further to win 29-27 in 34 minutes.

Aster.Aries Vs Dandelion Esport Club

The series between these two was quick to end with a couple of one-sided performances. Aries failed to do anything in the first match and lost 4-12 in 25 minutes. The second match was a little better, but DEC still got a very convincing victory with a 17-35 score in 41 minutes.

Invictus Gaming Vs iG Vitality

Invictus completely dominated the first match against Vitality’s lineup. The score read 24-6 in a 22-minute short match. The second game had a lot better setting, with both teams going neck to neck from early to mid game. It almost looked like Invictus took Vitality lightly and gave them space to come back. However, they won the match irrespective of Vitality’s strong effort. The score in the end was 36-22 in 44 minutes.
