Dota Summit 11 – What Happened in the Groups?

by devaccess

The first Minor of the new DPC started just a couple of days ago. Having said that, yesterday marked the end ot the Group Stage. This means that we now have second two teams that are out from the event after those that finished last in their groups.

Let’s take a look and see what happened.

Ninjas in Pyjamas was the “chosen” one and got eliminated from the Minor. Peter “PPD” Dager’s team is not looking good after the roster change. They are underperforming in every single event they play in. As you can imagine, we might soon see  yet another major roster shuffle.

In this Minor, NiP lost to the pratically uknown team called jfshfh178. The CIS squad completely outplayed their enemies in both games.

The second group was definitely the more interesting one beucase of the teams that are here.

Chaos Esports Club (the ex. Quincy Crew) played very well and managed to defeat Geek Fam. However, the SEA powerhouse didn’t go down without a fight, especially in game two. Raven played one of the best Morphlings at the event yet but despite that, YawaR and his Drow Ranger didn’t let their enemies to thrive and secured the win in the series.

The loss against Chaos meant that Geek Fam had to fight for their survival against HellRaisers. Unfortunately, the CIS team was looking very motivated. They’ve completely overthrown their enemies in game one and having one game advantage, they also won the second game and secured themselves the last series of this Minor.

Be sure to watch the first phase of the playoffs tomorrow. Who knows, we might see Chaos Esports with their first Minor tournament.
