Season 12 of the CORSAIR DreamLeague Dota 2 tournament series will be held at the first-ever DreamHack Rotterdam in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on October 18-20, DreamHack announced today.
The tournament will take place at Rotterdam Ahoy, will feature a $250K prize pool, and is being put on in partnership between DreamHack, CORSAIR, Esport-Management.com, and Monster Energy . Details on the tournament format and competing teams have not yet been revealed.
DreamLeague Season 12 is only the second event in the series to take place outside of Sweden, following Season 7 in Atlanta, Georgia. The last event, Season 11 , crowned Vici Gaming as its champion in Stockholm, Sweden, in March.
“It’s exciting to follow up last season’s grand event in Stockholm with shipping the DreamLeague experience to a new country,” said DreamHack co-CEO Marcus Lindmark, in a release. “DreamHack Rotterdam will serve as the perfect setting for CORSAIR DreamLeague Season 12 with thousands of esports and gaming fans gathering at the Rotterdam Ahoy for the three-day festival.”

Interestingly, Rotterdam Ahoy last served as the locale for a rival MOBA competition: the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Spring Finals in April.
DreamHack Rotterdam will also feature a $100K Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition. Omen by HP is the presenting partner of DreamHack Rotterdam, which is the main event in the first-ever Rotterdam Games Week.
