by Gabriel Hall

The Premier said it has raised €12.5 million (£11.1m) in the round of financing jointly led by co-founder Johan Gedda and Vækstfonden from Rocket Tech, both of which are a fund funded by the Danish government and the European Investment Bank. Creandum, Heartcore and Maki, current investors, have returned with round contributions. Funded to promote the growth of the brand through advertising campaigns, growing and improving media technology solutions, Copenhagen-based businesses can use the funding.

Gedda stated: “One of the reasons why I am pleased to work with BLAST is the ability to merge and build a deeper technology stack which will shape the future of sports. I am excited by your plans and look forward to using my technical expertise to support the growth of this exciting and rapidly evolving sector.

Thanks to COVID-19, there is a massive need for online events, which could be a real boost to BLAST in general. Around this time, BLAST had a lot of tournaments, web series and collaborations. They have already announced a detailed schedule from 30 April to 21 June.
