You can discover plenty of objectives in the New Frontiers map that allows players to excel at their roles. Carry heroes can buy new items like the Harpoon and the Disperser to fight their foes in battles for easy kills. Support heroes in the 7.33b patch can move between the top lane and the bottom lane effortlessly using the Twin Gates to help their teammates push lanes and destroy enemy heroes.

Take a look at the different uses of Twin Gates in the new update for Dota 2 that can enhance the experience of the game.

Twin Gates has plenty of neutral creeps

Axe attacks neutrals near Twin Gates for bonus gold

Twin Gates make the New Frontiers map easier to navigate. Carry heroes can roam around the Twin Gates to fight neutrals between the waves of enemy creeps in a lane. Most people in Dota 2 matches tend to destroy the neutral creeps in the safe lane to farm more gold with their team. You can walk through the Twin Gates to mitigate neutral creep camps that spawn in the game.

Heroes like Anti-Mage need a ton of gold before they can start slashing enemy heroes in Dota 2. Anti-Mage is an Agility hero with abilities that can punish enemy heroes during the later stages of a match. He gains up to 2.8 Agility per level. You can level up Mana Break while playing Anti-Mage to burn up to 40 mana per hit. The passive ability, Mana Break, can deal 50% of the mana burnt from physical attacks as bonus damage. Anti-Mage is incredibly effective at eliminating support heroes, Intelligence heroes, and Universal heroes.

You can attack the neutral creep camps around the Twin Portals on either side of the New Frontiers map to farm items faster for Anti-Mage. He can purchase a Quelling Blade to deal bonus damage to neutrals early in a match. Buying items like Battle Fury can amplify the amount of gold per minute (GPM) he farms throughout the match.

The Strength hero, Axe, can use the Twin Portals to gain bonus experience. You can max out Counter Helix to deal 170 Pure damage once every 4 attacks with Axe. Counter Helix affects all enemy units in a radius of 300, making it easier to destroy neutral creep camps with the Strength hero. You can remove the cooldown of Counter Helix by upgrading the ability with an Aghanim’s Shard. The item can be purchased for 1400 gold in the game. You can also unlock the Aghanim’s Shard upgrade by defeating a Tormentor in the off lane.

People can travel between the top and the bottom lane by moving through Twin Gates to enter battles with Axe. He can buy a Blink Dagger to surprise enemy heroes after leaving the Twin Gates. You can activate Berserker’s Call with Axe to force enemy heroes to hit the tank hero for up to 3 seconds. Axe gains a bonus armor of 25 for the duration of the spell. He can cast his ulti, Culling Blade, on his opponents to deal 450 Pure damage to decimate them in team fights. Axe gains a bonus armor of 2 per kill for every enemy hero he slaughters using Culling Blade.

Collect Lotuses using the Twin Gates

Dark Willow collects Lotuses near the Twin Gates

Lotus Pools are a welcome addition to Dota 2. You can walk through the Twin Gates over time to collect Lotuses from the pool. These pools can hold up to 6 Lotuses at a time. You can combine these Lotuses to form consumable items that can be used to restore over 400 health and mana with one Lotus. Collecting more Lotuses will allow players to restore up to 900 health and mana per item.

People can withstand more damage from enemy heroes by using Lotuses during battles. These items can help heroes fight their enemies without getting killed in Dota 2 matches. Support heroes like Dark Willow can annihilate enemy heroes by using Lotuses in her battles. You can root multiple enemy heroes for 2.5 seconds by using Bramble Maze with Dark Willow. People can cast Shadow Realm while playing Dark Willow to become immune to enemy attacks and spells for up to 3.5 seconds. Dark Willow can consume Lotuses gathered from near the Twin Gates to regain her health and mana after using Shadow Realm.

The Universal hero can stun enemy heroes using Cursed Crown to prevent them from gathering Lotuses. Dark Willow can strike stunned enemies with her ulti, Bedlam, to wipe out her opponents during battles. You can use the Twin Gates to travel to safety after casting your spells to deal damage to the enemy team.

Twin Gates can help you push lanes

Chen teleports his controlled units using Twin Gates

Pushing lanes has become a satisfying role to play in the New Frontiers map. The Twin Gates have made it easier to take allied units through to the top and the bottom lane to destroy towers. Heroes like Broodmother can hatch new Spiderlings using the neutral creep camps near the Twin Gates to increase the number of allied units under her control.

She can move her army of Spiderlings through the Twin Gates to attack enemy towers. You can Spin Webs near Twin Gates to gain bonus movement speed for the Universal hero. Broodmother and her Spiderlings can have their health regeneration rate increased by 11 while attacking enemy structures and enemy heroes within a web. She can spawn up to 6 Spiderlings with her ulti, allowing Broodmother to create massive amounts of controlled units within a few minutes. The Twin Gates can be used by all of these units to take down enemy creeps and towers in lanes.

Chen is an upright support hero in Dota 2. He can scour the New Frontiers map to find and convert neutral creeps that can help him push lanes. There are over 10 new neutral creep camps added in the 7.33b patch, letting Chen convert loads of neutrals throughout his matches. Chen can cast Holy Persuasion on up to 4 enemy creeps or neutrals to gain control over them in battles. These controlled units gain a minimum health of 1000 and bonus attack damage of 22.

You can teleport controlled units converted by Holy Persuasion using the Twin Gates. The passive ability, Divine Favor, increases the health regeneration rate by 4 and grants bonus armor of 4 to nearby allied units. Chen can easily push lanes with the controlled units by accessing the Twin Gates. He can use his ulti, Hand of God, to restore over 400 health to all allies on the map. Hand of God has a cooldown of 110 seconds and requires 400 mana per cast.

Activate Outposts using Twin Gates

There are a total of 4 Outposts in the 7.33b patch. You can access all 4 of the new Outposts by passing through the Twin Gates. These Outposts provide vision over a large area on the map to alert allies of any incoming enemy attacks. You can also activate the Watchers near the Twin Gates to to expand the vision of the map to your teammates between battles.

Twin Gates are closer to Roshan’s pits

Roshan has 2 new homes on the New Frontiers map. You can find Roshan resting in his pit near the Twin Gates in the top lane and the bottom lane. Roshan is much harder to beat in the 7.33b patch, requiring more than 2 heroes to defeat the Ancient.

People can use the Twin Gates to teleport to Roshan’s pit to claim the Aegis of the Immortal. Roshan will also drop an Aghanim’s Blessing, Cheese, or a Refresher Shard after defeating him twice in a Dota 2 match. These items can make a significant impact to your battles against the enemy team in the new update for the strategy game.
